About Us
Avril Taylor was born from four barrels of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. In 2009, our family pursued our dream of producing great wines to enjoy with our family and friends. As excitement started to grow around the brand, we made the decision to expand our production so we could continue to share our wines with our friends, family and other wine enthusiasts. Today, we focus on producing limited quantities of high-quality Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, and Rose from the Napa Valley.

The Name: Avril Taylor
The name Avril Taylor combines the middle names of sister and brother Alison Avril Pitzer Mesec and Austin Taylor Pitzer. Avril is also their mother’s, Dennie Avril Pitzer, maiden name. Originally from Germany, the Avril family has a winemaking history that dates back to the late 1800’s. Our name is a tribute to the Old World and New World wine regions where the Avril Family has made wine. To tie everything together, the label features the historical Avril Family crest.
