2015 Napa Valley Red Wine

The Wine

Considered an exceptional year for the Napa Valley, our 2015 vintage is one that is juicy, luscious and balanced. This vintage was smaller in yield, but presented high quality fruit and distinct flavors. Driven by its red-fruit profile of dried cherries, ripe raspberries, and red plum, this complex wine expands into notes of Luxardo maraschino cherries, blueberries, and baking spices. The impactful aromatics of this wine envelop the palate with a burst of flavor that continues into a long, inviting finish. With a round mouthfeel and a soft velvet texture, this vintage features medium body, acidity and tannin. We recommend decanting this wine prior to enjoying.

Vintage

The 2015 vintage has been touted as an outstanding harvest for the Napa Valley. After three drought vintages, many producers saw lower yields in the vineyard but with exceptional quality. The growing season started with rain in the late spring and transitioned into a warm summer. Record early picking dates were seen by many producers and harvest concluded before October began.
