2012 Avril Taylor
Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The Wine
Our newest release marks our third vintage to produce a Cabernet Sauvignon wine from the Napa Valley, and this is simply our best vintage yet. Lead by dark, lush fruit notes of black cherry and black raspberry, this is a full-bodied, cozy Cabernet Sauvignon that displays an unbelievable purity of fruit. With a mid-palate of melted chocolate, baking spices, and savory blackberry, this wine has a dense profile, but it's also balanced by a lively acidity. The result is a glazed mouthfeel with an extremely long finish that keeps going. Although this is an extremely inviting wine in its youth, it is capable of aging for an additional 10-15 years. .

The 2012 growing season was considered a perfect growing season for the Napa Valley. With ideal conditions at bud break and fruit set, the growing season stretched into a warm, lengthy summer without interruption. Fall rains appeared in late October giving vintners plenty of time to pick their grapes at optimal ripeness and in comfortable fashion.

Our Notes
Winter 2018
Juicy, lush, and voluptuous. Our 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly a Napa Cabernet. Notes of vanilla, clove, dark cherry, ripe raspberry, milk chocolate, and a touch of exotic spices all present themselves in the aromatics alone. It’s a stunning wine and a crowd favorite! This is a big wine that can stand-alone. Even though we anticipate that it will continue to develop for another 5-10 years, this is absolutely a ‘drink-now’ wine as well.
